About 3D Panoramas

VR (Virtual Reality) Panoramas are panoramic images which surround the viewer with an environment (inside, looking out), yielding a sense of place. They can be "stitched" together from several normal photographs (in the case of the panoramas on this website), or captured with specialized panoramic cameras, or rendered from 3D-modeled scenes.

Rather than a static image, these panoramic photographs are a wonderful way of preserving a memory of a holiday, or a special occasion and allow the user to rotate the camera and actually see all around, as if they were actually standing there.

The panoramic pictures on this website have all been taken using various cameras, and 'stitched' together using a fantastic piece of software called "3D Photo Builder" which can be purchased from Anything3D Corp.  In order to view these panoramic photographs, a small JAVA applet must run which allows you to interact with the image.  Therefore, JAVA must be installed on your computer for these to work.
